2 Sep 2006 – A few miles from Sundance is a site that will soon be developed as a ‘Tourist Site’ but is presently only an archeological dig. Hopefully you can read the sign. Prior to the introduction of the horse, Indians needed an edge to kill enough buffalo. One method they used was to stampede a herd over a cliff and then ‘finish them off’ with arrows and spears. Photos of the dig show skulls, bones, arrow heads and spear heads protruding in a solid mass. When completed this will be a great site. The third shot is vegetation along the rim of the sinkhole.
