Benbrook Lake near Ft. Worth, Texas

We have now been at Lake Benbrook for almost a month. As you can see it has very nice views and is far from crowded. In return for some 2 hours/day for 4 days a week of maintaining the park we have the opportunity to see this area of Texas and catch a few white bass.

The van/trailer is our transportation while working and has the high pressure washer they prefer you to use to clean the small patio and table provided at each site. Sites here are truly 'waterfront' as you can see. We have 40 sites with weekday usage averaging about 6 to 8 campsites. Pretty quiet!!

Matty in the morning

Would it not be wonderful if all the babies in the world were able to wake up to a mommy like this?

Matty Fix

1 March 2008 - It's 'get away' day and I can't sleep so I'm catching up on my logs and looking at our pictures of Matthew. Realizing I have not put any photos of my little darling on the blog in ages I give you these. This was our next to last day with the Florida Crawfords, New Year's Eve, and Bonnie and Glenn invited us all over for a seafood feast (and what a feast!); thank you Culvers.

The weather was perfect and the sunset was beautiful so we all went outside and captured these photos. Yes, I realize the exposures are far from perfect but its the subject here that counts - not the quality of the photo or the skill (or lack thereof) of the photographer!!!

See you next in Ft. Worth!!

Bonnie and Glenn with Matthew on their dock. They have to 'endure' a similar sunset most every day!!
