Beech Fork State Park WV

After a slow journey on narrow, steep and curvy roads we finally made it to our destination at Beech Fork State Park. The trip was almost worth it to find such a beautiful park nestled in the valley along side a small pretty lake. This is a shot across the lake to the non-full hookup sites. They were more spacious than the full hookup ones (as were the tent sites) but we opted for the convenience of a full hookup and settled for looking and biking among these sites.

As you can see, the water with the mountains in the background and the pines, etc. along the shore made for a beautiful time in WV.

To top it all off, the bike trails led down through the wooded area where we watched deer and turkey eating as we took our early morning and late evening bike ride.

This is not exactly crowded!! It did fill up more for the weekend and we had not been able to reserve a spot for the 4th of July so we had booked a site at our next stop. Turns out we could have had a site here during the 4th but it was too late to change our booking so we left before the 4th. Posted by Picasa
