This is along Split Rock Creek near Garretson, SD. The second photo is of the place Jesse was supposed to have jump (no bridge then of course). The other photos are of Split Rock Creek above where the bridge is. Very pretty area surrounded by prairie - the creek (crik for you Arkies) just appears out of nowhere. I'm sure the chasm would come as pretty much of a surprise if you were not from those parts.
