Entry into West Virginia

This is one blog late but it did not take the first time - oh well! Note the 'Check Lights' sign on the right - that is due to just coming out of one of Becky's least favorite things, a long tunnel through tbe mountain. She made it though!!!! The steep hills and windy roads provided a test of our truck/trailer and they came through with flying colors. Taking our time up the grades and letting the Allison transmission assist the braking going down the other side were a winning combination.
You can see the coal tailings at the center left of the third photo to remind us of WV's dominant feature and we are always looking for 'river' photos it seems. The Ohio river was a nice added attraction as we drove toward our next camp. We passed through Charleston where this dome was shining in the sunlight. Although it was probably worth a look around, we were ready to reach our next campsite so continued on.
