Sea Turtle Nest
The beach is shared with the Sea Turtles' nests. They are marked and 'fenced' off to avoid their being disturbed by us humans. It would have been great to be around during a 'hatch' but video clips of nearby hatching is available on the web. http://www.emeraldisle-nc.org/turtles/updates.htm has still photos and we found video clips while we were there but can't seem to find them now. Perhaps someone else knows where they are.
