FL Wright in Springfield, IL

After getting our fill of quietness we drove on to Springfield, IL to spend a few more days sightseeing and waiting for the boys to reach Illinois. Dave had to drive up from Ft. Myers and was finishing his first year in the Masters program. As soon as he had turned in his final papers, he would be driving up to Missouri where James would join him for the trip to Bushnell. The first stop in Springfield from Mr. Lincoln's RV Park (nice, clean and convenient) was to be a Frank Lloyd Wright house. It is said to be the most complete example of a Wright house furnished exactly as he designed it. It was excellent. The photos attempt to capture a little of the oriental touch he had added and something of the scope of the house. Becky can be seen in the final photo as she walks along the side of the house toward what had been the 'carriage house' and is now the visitor's cent
